Ingredients
Scale:
- 4 cups of seedless watermelon, cubed
- 1/2 cup freshly squeezed lime juice (about 4-5 limes)
- 2 cups of cold or sparkling water
- 1/4 cup agave syrup or honey (adjust to taste)
- Fresh mint leaves for garnish
- Ice for serving
Instructions
- Prepare the watermelon: Start by cutting the watermelon into cubes. Remove any seeds if necessary.
- Blend: In a blender, combine the watermelon cubes with 1 cup of cold water. Blend on high until smooth.
- Strain: Pour the blended watermelon mixture through a fine mesh strainer into a large pitcher, discarding any pulp or solids.
- Add lime juice: Squeeze fresh limes until you have 1/2 cup of juice. Add the lime juice to the watermelon juice in the pitcher.
- Sweeten: Stir in the agave syrup or honey until fully dissolved. Taste and adjust sweetness as needed.
- Incorporate the remaining water: Add the remaining 1 cup of water to the pitcher, stirring to combine.
- Chill: Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to let the flavors meld.
- Serve: Fill glasses with ice, pour the watermelon limeade over, and garnish with fresh mint leaves.
