Ingredients

- 2 pounds of potatoes, peeled and cubed into bite-sized pieces
- 1 pound of fresh green beans, trimmed and cut into 2-inch pieces
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 cup of vegetable broth or chicken broth
- 2 tablespoons of butter (optional)
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Prepare the vegetables: Peel and cube the potatoes. Trim the ends of the green beans and cut them into 2-inch segments.
- Layer the ingredients in your slow cooker: Start by placing the cubed potatoes at the bottom and then add the green beans on top.
- Season the vegetables: Sprinkle the salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder over the vegetables.
- Add the broth: Pour the vegetable or chicken broth over the seasoned vegetables.
- Cook: Cover and cook on low heat for 6 to 8 hours or on high heat for 3 to 4 hours until the potatoes are fork-tender.
- Finish with butter: Add the butter about 15 minutes before serving and stir gently.
- Garnish and serve: Stir gently to combine the flavors and serve warm, garnished with parsley.
