  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x9-inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, and salt until well combined.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
  5. Fold in the chopped nuts and chocolate chips if using.
  6. Spread the brownie batter evenly in the prepared baking pan.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  8. Remove the brownies from the oven and immediately sprinkle the mini marshmallows on top.
  9. Return the pan to the oven and bake for an additional 5-7 minutes until the marshmallows are p■ and slightly golden.
