  1. In a medium bowl, combine the pineapple juice, soy sauce, brown sugar, ketchup, vegetable oil, minced garlic, grated ginger, sesame oil, and black pepper. Whisk until the sugar dissolves completely.
  2. Place the chicken pieces in a large resealable plastic bag or a shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the chicken, ensuring all pieces are well-coated. Seal and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or ideally overnight.
