Ingredients
Scale:
1 cup rolled oats
1/2 cup protein powder (chocolate or vanilla)
1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1/2 cup ground flaxseed or almond flour
1/2 cup almond butter
1/4 cup honey or maple syrup
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Sea salt for sprinkling
Mini dark chocolate chips or chunks (optional)
Instructions
In a large mixing bowl, combine the rolled oats, protein powder, cocoa powder, and ground flaxseed or almond flour. Stir until well mixed.
In a separate bowl, mix together the almond butter, honey (or maple syrup), and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix thoroughly.
Once combined, fold in mini dark chocolate chips if desired.
Using your hands or a cookie scoop, form the mixture into small balls (about 1 inch in diameter). Place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
Sprinkle a pinch of sea salt on top of each ball.
Refrigerate the protein balls for at least 30 minutes to firm up.
