Inspired by the classic Funfetti cake, these cookies bring a delightful burst of colors and flavors to your dessert table. Made with colorful sprinkles and a buttery, soft dough, they're perfect for birthdays, holidays, or just because.
Ingredients
Scale:
2 ¾ cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
½ teaspoon salt
1 cup unsalted butter, softened to room temperature
1 cup granulated sugar
1 cup brown sugar, packed
2 large eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 cup colorful sprinkles
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a medium bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt.
In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened unsalted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy, about 3-4 minutes.
Add the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
Gradually add the dry ingredient mixture to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
Fold in the colorful sprinkles gently with a spatula.
Using a cookie scoop or tablespoon, drop rounded balls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden but the centers are still soft.
Remove from the oven and allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
