Chili Garlic Shrimp is a vibrant and flavor-packed dish that combines the savory taste of shrimp with the bold flavors of garlic and chili. This dish not only tantalizes your taste buds but also offers a delightful balance of heat and zest that can elevate any meal.
Ingredients
Scale:
1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
4 cloves garlic, minced
2 tablespoons chili garlic sauce
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon lime juice
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
Salt and pepper, to taste
Chopped green onions, for garnish
Fresh cilantro (optional), for garnish
Instructions
In a medium bowl, combine minced garlic, chili garlic sauce, soy sauce, and lime juice. Mix well to create a flavorful garlic shrimp marinade.
Add the peeled and deveined shrimp to the marinade. Toss to coat the shrimp evenly and allow them to marinate for at least 15 minutes.
In a large skillet or wok, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until shimmering.
Add the marinated shrimp to the skillet in a single layer. Cook for 2-3 minutes without stirring until they turn pink and start to caramelize. Flip and cook for an additional 2 minutes until fully cooked through.
Season with salt and pepper to taste. Optionally, add a splash of extra chili garlic sauce for more heat.
Remove from heat and transfer to a serving platter. Garnish with chopped green onions and fresh cilantro, if using. Serve immediately.
