Instructions

  1. Make the slider buns: In a small bowl, combine warm water, warm milk, and sugar. Stir in the yeast and let it sit for about 5 minutes until frothy.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine flour and salt. Make a well in the center and pour in the yeast mixture along with melted butter. Mix until a dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic. Cover with a damp cloth and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  4. Prepare the beef mixture: In a large bowl, combine ground beef, garlic powder, onion powder, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix gently until just combined.
  5. Preheat your grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Form the beef mixture into 8 small patties.
  6. Grill or pan-fry the patties for about 3-4 minutes on each side. Add a slice of cheese on top of each patty during the last minute of cooking.
  7. Shape the buns: Once the dough has risen, punch it down and divide it into 8 equal portions. Shape each portion into a small ball.
  8. Cover the buns again and let them rise for another 30 minutes. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  9. Bake the buns for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown. Brush the tops with melted butter as soon as they come out of the oven.
  10. Assemble the sliders: Slice the buns in half. Place a cheese-filled patty on the bottom half of each bun, add your favorite toppings, and cover with the top half of the bun.
