Description
Avocado dressing is an incredibly versatile and delicious condiment that adds a creamy, rich flavor to a variety of dishes.
Ingredients
Scale:
- 1 ripe avocado, ideally Hass variety
- 1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt (or vegan equivalent)
- 2 tablespoons lime juice (freshly squeezed)
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon fresh cilantro or parsley, chopped (optional)
- 1/2 teaspoon cumin (optional)
Instructions
- Cut the ripe avocado in half, remove the pit, and scoop the flesh into a blender or food processor.
- To the avocado, add the Greek yogurt, lime juice, minced garlic, salt, and pepper. Include chopped herbs and cumin at this stage if desired.
- Blend the mixture until it is creamy and smooth, scraping down the sides as needed.
- Taste the dressing and adjust the seasoning if necessary.
- Transfer the avocado dressing into a serving bowl or an airtight container. Use immediately or store in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
